With a heart full of sorrow and deep gratitude, I honor the life and legacy of my beloved uncle Chief Barr. Bassey I. Inyang, JP, who passed on while serving our nation with distinction as a Barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria while he retired as a Deputy Commissioner of Police.
He was a man of rare integrity, discipline, principled and deeply committed to justice and the protection of others. In his service, he led with wisdom, strength, and quiet dignity earning the respect of colleagues, communities and country.
To our family, he was so much more than his title. He was a source of strength, a voice of reason and a constant presence of love, compassion and encouragement.
His legacy is not only in the ranks he rose to, but in the lives he uplifted, the values he stood for and the examples he set.
We are proud of the life he lived and the sacrifices he made. His memories will forever remain cherished, and his impact will continue to resonate through generations.
